LOCAL MISSION OPPORTUNITY: Rebuilding Together Cleveland Needs You (Registration Form Below)

Name: Rebuilding Together Cleveland

Mission: Preserve and revitalize houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners live in warmth, safety and independence.

History: Projects were completed in New Orleans, LA, Moss Point, MS and the Glenville section of Cleveland. Last year 18 homes and 3 vacant lots were revitalized.

Needed: Volunteers to clean up, paint up and fix up. Activities include scraping and painting a home, cleaning and clearing a lot, planting flowers and shrubs, and making exterior repairs such as porches, railings and gutters. Some homes are “greened” with fluorescent bulbs, caulking windows or adding a water heater blanket.

When: Saturday, June 26th is the 15th annual Rebuilding Day. "UCUMC Church in the Circle" is assembling a team to be coordinated by Bob Taylor. Lunch, a tee shirt & Indians tickets will be provided to volunteers. See Bob or the RTC website: www.RebuildingTogetherCleveland.com for more details.

Join in: Volunteer Registration Forms are available in the church office. This is a great opportunity to help others locally get to know your church family better and spread the visibility and message of University Circle UMC. Please return completed forms to the church office by June 16th so we can plan for appropriate numbers of people.
