Worship in the main sanctuary at 11am to pray and praise along with our choir. Dr. Chalker will be preaching, and we will rally together to kick off another exciting year of fellowship, outreach and programming at our church home.
MENS GOURMET HOT DOG EXTRAVAGANZA
For more than a decade, our Men Engaged in Needed Services (MENS) group has put their considerable talents to work each September to prepare a fantastic feast of franks. If you have any doubt about how "gourmet" a hot dog can be, come and see the amazing spread of condiments and toppings which will surely transform your impressions of this all-American culinary favorite. And, if this isn't enough, there will be fun surprises in store especially for children. Plan to join us in the Great Hall following worship. A traditional fall event you won't want to miss!
HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH – LET’S TALK!
We are creating a new High School Youth Group at UCUMC, and we need your input to create an exciting, fun and meaningful program! All High School youth (grades 9-12) are invited to meet for food, fellowship and conversation with Amy Wheatley, Director of Education, on Sunday September 18. Please begin the morning in worship with your family. During the Moments of Fellowship, we will leave the worship service and gather in the Reception Room (across from the sanctuary). Come share your ideas and dreams – what activities, events and experiences would your ideal High School Youth Group include? September 18th Programming for Children and Youth
- Child care will be provided for infants, toddlers and preschoolers during worship in the child care room on the mezzanine level.
- Children in grades K through 5 will begin the morning in worship with their families and move from the sanctuary to Sunday School with their adult leaders during the Moments of Fellowship. Sunday School will begin then and continue through the end of worship.
- Youth in grades 6 through 8 will meet for class at 11am in the Youth Room at the top of the stairs next to the Chapel.
All children, youth and families are invited to join in the fun of our Rally Day celebration in the Great Hall following worship! Come for a hot dog lunch, fellowship and special activities that will have you inflated with fun and jumping for joy!!!
