Myers is a retired Berea school district teacher, having taught in each elementary building as a health specialist. With Project Assist, she spent her last 10 years in the district on the primary team at Riveredge Elementary School. She is a Grindstone Award winner and received the Outstanding Alumni Educator for Baldwin Wallace’s division of education. She helped form the Committee for Good Schools. She is active as a speaker/instructor with the nonprofit Suicide Prevention Education Alliance.
