The Reviews Are In: University Circle United Methodist Church is Generous!

VALENTINE PROJECT
American Greetings and Hallmark had better watch out. UCUMC "potluckers" discovered on February 5th how much fun it is to create Valentine's Day cards. 150 cards have been either mailed to members or distributed to long-term care facilities so that our energy and love will be spread around the city on February 14th. Ours may be the only Valentine that some of these folks receive.
People seemed to stay longer, talk more and laugh louder at our most recent potluck - creating something useful and reaching out to the community promoted all of that. Special thanks to the 17 volunteers who offered to help set up, serve and clean up. Special thanks to our volunteer extraordinaire Gwyn Howard, who collected all of the completed Valentines and oversaw orderly return of supplies. Stay tuned - the March 6th potluck promises to be just as much fun, just as creative and just as worthwhile a project!

SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY FINAL SCORE
Thanks to everyone who donated canned soup and money to our Souper Bowl Sunday food and funds drive for the Cleveland Foodbank. This morning our Sunday School children are counting the cans of soup and money collected last week – look for our signs with the totals as you leave worship today. Your generous gifts will help many hungry people in our city and have provided a wonderful opportunity for our children to put their faith into action! Thank you.

INTERACT HOMELESS STAND DOWN
The Outreach Committee would very much like to say, THANK YOU, UCUMC, for your overwhelming support of InterAct Cleveland's Homeless Stand Down! InterAct has expressed extreme gratitude for our support.

Together we contributed scores of baby supplies (including more than 1600 diapers), thoughtful housewarming gifts for mothers in new living arrangements and two carloads (Thank you, Chuck, Desmond, and Megan for your labor!) of health and hygiene products.

Additionally, your generous cash donations procured all-day RTA passes for 60 individuals, providing HSD participants with much-needed transportation. A special "thank you" goes to the Judson Manor "Knit-Whits" for their heartfelt donation of colorful homemade winter wear!

All contributions were sincerely appreciated. Thank you!
