Keep your spirit warm at University Circle UMC this Winter - Consider these exciting 2011 programs

Sunday, January 9, we consecrate our new church officers during worship and then share an after-worship potluck with time to discuss possible plans for our church family in the new year. CLICK HERE for a an RSVP Form.

Sunday, January 16, we welcome Dr. Julian M. Earls, former Deputy Director of NASA's John H. Glenn Research Center, where he worked with 4,500 employees and a billion-dollar budget. Dr. Earls currently serves as executive-in-residence for the president and the Administrative Board of Cleveland State University. He joins us for an open-discussion class at 9:30am and for our 11am worship service. In worship we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., experience the music of an African drum circle and hear the moving spiritual, "Precious Lord, Take My Hand."

Wednesday, January 26, 5:30–7:30, pastor Dr. Ken Chalker leads a Sup 'N' Study called "What Did Joseph Have to Do with It?" Does Joseph, the "mystery man," deserve more credit? What was his relationship to Jesus and what happened to him? Hear Dr. Chalker's "take" on the earthly father of Jesus. A light supper from 5:30-6pm precedes the class, which is from 6–7:30pm. Reservations are needed; forms available starting next Sunday, January 9.

Sunday, January 30, 3–6pm, UCUMC friends and family take to the slopes of Boston Mills/Brandywine for winter activities of snowboarding, skiing or just showing support while warming in front of the lodge fire. Contact the church office for more details: 216-421-1200 or email ask@churchinthecircle.com.

Wednesday, February 2, 5:30–7:30, Dr. Chalker entertains us with another Sup 'N' Study event entitled, "Birth to 30: The Undocumented Years of Jesus." A light dinner from 5:30–6pm in our Great Hall precedes the class. Join this intriguing look at the early years of Jesus' life.
